Graham update - hubbard, toms & peppers

It's been a shlong time since I last updated, but sadly not much shlongage to report. But the toms are in full force, and peppers are doing nicely (bear shown for scale, keep in mind he is a large bear, so tomatoes may appear smaller than they actually are).

And my two hubbards are looking great - one has reached the top of my apple tree! I'm keeping a close watch for vermins...

Luckily I do like tomatoes - I have frozen lots, made bruschetta, salsa, soup, chilli, etc. :) Sadly the fruit flies like them too... grrr. That is why Wolfy is there to eat them, buzzzzzzz!!!

If only it was as easy to use up hot peppers. I put one tiny little red pepper in a bean dish the other day and could barely handle it!

Yeah I know the peppers are slow going, but they do last well. This year we went cayenne so they are not as hot and hopefully we use them a bit more.

I still have some dried ones from 2 years ago that I am going to grind up and put in a spice shaker ... maybe then I will use them a bit more readily.
